Hip replacement is the removal and replacement of portions of the pelvis and femur or thigh bone that form your hip joint. It is performed primarily to relieve hip pain and stiffness caused by hip arthritis. In many cases hip replacement is also performed after the individual suffers a fall which causes the hip joint to fracture. Recovery outcome is high and evidence states the benefits of Physical therapy before and after a total hip arthroplasty.

  • Passive Range of Motion 
  • Therapeutic exercises
