Patellofemoral pain syndrome is commonly seen in athletes and the geriatric community. Common symptoms are for example pain and stiffness, and difficulty in climbing stairs. Some patients may also experience pain in the knees after standing up,  sitting for prolonged periods of time may cause symptoms. 

Physical Therapy exercise interventions aim to increase the range of motion, strength, knee stability, balance, and functional ability. Studies show that patients experience a decrease of pain and also a boost of confidence during walking and negotiating stairs.

  • Cryotherapy 
  • Gait Assessment
  • Manual Therapy
  • Electrical Stim 
  • Home exercise program provided by practitioner
